As well as Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine treatment, Tai Chi classes are offered to empower people in their own health.

What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese mind-body practice that combines slow, gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation. Often referred to as “meditation in motion”, it originated as an ancient martial art but is now primarily practiced for relaxation, stress reduction, and overall physical and mental well-being.

Tai Chi for Health Institute

The Tai Chi for Health Institute (TCHI) is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 by Dr. Paul Lam and his medical colleagues. It is dedicated to empowering people to improve their wellness through medically supported Tai Chi programs designed for arthritis, fall prevention, and rehabilitation.

The institute is known for developing specialized, easy-to-learn Tai Chi modules, backed by extensive research and recommended by major health organizations globally, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and various Arthritis Foundations.

Instructor Training: The institute trains and certifies instructors to ensure safe and effective teaching. To date, tens of thousands of instructors have been certified globally.

Targeted Programs: They offer specific programs like Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Diabetes, and Tai Chi for Rehabilitation.

Quality Control: It maintains strict ethical standards and continuous support for its certified instructors and participants.
